The clients for this house made as a top priority for the design that it work around and among the beautiful post oak trees that cover the site. they proposed a courtyard scheme, wrapping around one of the larger trees. a screened entry breezeway allows visitors to see through the house into the courtyard, while giving the owners a useful front porch. Conditioned square footage is minimzed and the footprint of the building is concentrated outside of the tree canopy. A second story roof terrace allows the owners to have a garden on a property covered in shade.
