This 2,200 sf ranch house was the clients’ retirement dream. Oriented to catch the nearly continuous breezes, as well as the distant view of the beginning of the Texas hill country, the house is built in two wings, with a screened breezeway between. In this way, connection with the outdoors is a direct experience of moving through the house. Large outdoor porches and a detached carport create enough roof catchment for the owners to live off the rainwater they collect.
